Distorting and Wave-Shaping |
Distortion works with signal overload, shaping is controlled change of parameters. Waveshapers and distorters add overtones. It's therefore sensible to use material w/o a lot of overtones, e.g. no square wave but sinus.Waveshapers and distorters react to the amplitude of the signal. The louder the signal, the higher the distortion. Below three ways to control a WaveWrapper.Multiple wavewrappers multiply the effect. The effect of waveshaping is best used with modulation. |
