Sequencer
Sequencer: Note Sequencer

This is the note sequencer with an LFO sine wave. Pressing Record ON will record the sine wave (and outputting the origonal, incoming wave). Record OFF will play the recorded sine wave (and outputting the recorded sine wave). The recorded sine wave will sound differently, the note sequencer acts a bit like a quantizer here. You can change that by speeding up the sequencer tempo.

Sequencer: parallel connection

This is the example from the manual altered in a way, that's it's really clear. Doesn't sound as nice though.
Turn on and off the different cable colours to see the data flow.

Slicing up the pattern

With this technique you can slice up patterns, e.g. drum loops. Read much more about this in Roland Kuit's rhythm workshop on Clavia's webpages.

Playing the rhythm

You control the pitch, the sequencer plays the rhythm. Read much more about it in Rob Hordijk's Logic-workshop on Clavia's webpages.

If you want to start the sequencer with every key press, conect the Gate-output of the Keyboard module to the Rst-inputs of both sequencer and ClkGen.
